On March 13, shortly after 11 p.m., Charlie District officers responded to Livingston Street Apartments in reference to an individual discharging a firearm into the air and who was also using a pit bull dog to threaten people. Upon officers? arrival, the complainant advised that the suspect was getting into a maroon colored vehicle and was about to leave the area. Officers located the vehicle and the suspect, Willie Derrick Wilkins, birth date 5-10-1963. He was placed into custody. Upon searching Wilkins, officers located a two-shot Derringer in his front waistband. While conducting the investigation, officers learned that Wilkins was a convicted felon from Washington State. He was charged with the following: possession of firearm by felon; discharging a firearm in the city; and second degree trespassing. Bond was set at $5,500.
